Thiksey Monastery - Located on the top of the hill at an altitude of 3600 m or 11,800 ft above sea level along the Indus valley, this Tibetian style monastery is known to be the largest Tibetan monastery in Ladakh. It is situated approximately 19 km from Leh. This monastery's architecture is comparable to that of Lhasa's Potala Palace. It is also one of central Ladakh's largest Gompas.
You must explore the stupas, statues, and artworks of this twelve-story monastery if you want to learn more about Buddhism culture. People travel here from all over India and the world to observe the unique architectural style and immerse themselves in the rich Buddhist culture. Another interesting feature of this location is the temple within its complex, which was built in 1970 to honor the 4th Dalai Lama. The surrounding views from the monastery are excellent, and it is one of the best sites to visit in Leh with your family on your Leh Ladakh Package Tour.
Things to do around Thiksey Monastery:
Attend the annual Gustor Festival in October/November.
Interact with local people.
Enjoy the serene surroundings.
Witness the beautiful views of Indus Valley from the roof top of the monasteries.
Shey Monastery - the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. The Shey Monastery or Gompa and the Shey Palace complex are structures located on a hillock in Shey, 15 kilometres to the south of Leh in Ladakh, northern India on the Leh-Manali road. Shey was the old capital of the upper Ladakh region. When the Dogras of Jammu invaded Ladakh in 1842, the Namgyals abandoned the palace and fled to Stok (they made it their permanent residence) on the opposite side of the Indus River. It is conjectured that the fort found in ruins, not dated, above the present palace at Shey, belonged to this period of invasion. Subsequently, when the political dictates necessitated shifting of the capital to Leh, even then the importance of Shey continued since it was a mandatory requirement of the Namgyal kings to father their heir apparent here.
3 Idiot School - This school is also known as "The Druk White Lotus School" located in Shey, Ladakh, in northern India, and is known locally as the "Druk Padma Karpo School". Karpo means White and Padma means Lotus in the local language Bodhi. The school got its name 3 idiot school after the famous Indian actor Mr. Amir Khan cast his memorable movie 3 idiots here. Post lunch you may visit :
Leh Palace - Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh, Ladakh, in the Indian Himalayas. This palace was constructed circa 1600 by Sengge Namgyal. The palace was abandoned when Dogra forces took control of Ladakh in the mid-19th century and forced the royal family to move to Stok Palace. It is nine storeys high, the upper floors accommodated the royal family, while the lower floors held stables and store rooms. Much of the palace is in deteriorated condition, and little survives of its interior decorations. The Palace Museum holds a rich collection of jewellery, ornaments, ceremonial dresses and crowns. Chinese thangka or paintings, which are more than 450 years old, with intricate designs still retain the bright colors derived from crushed and powdered gems and stones. Structures around the palace's base include the prominent Namgyal Stupa, the colourfully muralled Chandazik Gompa and the 1430 Chamba Lhakhang, with medieval mural fragments located between the inner and outer walls. The palace is being restored by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), this palace is open to the public and the roof provides panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding areas.
Shanti Stupa - Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist white-domed stupa (chorten) on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh district, Ladakh, in the north India. It was built in 1991 by Japanese.

It's the spot where you put your car in neutral and watch it drive up the slope in an uphill direction.
Isn't it strange? Certainly it should be. Several explanations (scientific and fictional) have been proposed to explain these strange phenomena. Some claim it's just an optical illusion, while others claim it's due to the Earth's Magnetic Force pulling the vehicles upwards. Regardless, this hysterical occurrence has drawn millions of travelers to Magnetic Hill from all over the world during their Ladakh Tour.
Whatever the reason, this Magnetic Hill is a fantastic site to visit. Click some gorgeous photos, relax and unwind - simply take in the panoramic views and enjoy Mother Nature's presence. This wonder land is located at an impressive altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level. The "Magnet Hill" has become a common stop for domestic tourists on the way to Leh Ladakh Tour. It is a magical phenomenon to experience and one of the best places for shutter buggers and vloggers.

It was an amazing Ladakh Trip. It’s our first family trip with NatureWings and In future surely we will plan our trips with NatureWings. All the arrangements made by them were as committed at the time of selling. The vehicle was in a very good shape & the driver we got, was an experienced young locale chap, who knows the hills very well. He shared his experience and travel tips as a guide beyond just driving. Quality of the hotels & surrounding breathtaking view was the icing on the cake. We got warm and comfortable rooms, along with the hot, fresh & hygienic foods. Leh Ladakh is beautiful. This is to motivate people of all ages to surely visit this place once a heaven on earth. We had gone through NatureWings which was suggested by one of my friends who have experienced their expertise in Himalayan Region. We started our journey by flight from Mumbai to leh. It was a family Tour consisting of 7 Members. Leh is indeed a beautiful place to behold, best was Nubra valley. The stay in Nubra valley was excellent with good food and best possible service. The trip from Leh to Nubra valley and Pangong Lake has breathtaking views. While return we experienced snowfall in Khardungla Pass, which was like cherry on top. The driver we got was a very helpful and kind-hearted person. We very much enjoyed his accompany for the entire Ladakh Trip. All the arrangements were as per expectations and committed by them. A big thumps up for NatureWings, we highly recommend them to all.

For the first time in my life, I booked a package tour from a tour operator, and based on my experience, I must say it will not be my last. From the very first day of communication a thoroughly professional approach, keeping the best interests and the needs of the customer in mind at all times was their point of concern. All the arrangements were good & value for money, and the process of procuring permits and other formalities was seamless and smooth. The hotels and food were good, and even arrangements were made for vegetarian food as well. Overall, an excellent memorable experience. Team NatureWings was very responsive and we always felt safe and well taken care of throughout the trip. We enjoyed our Ladakh Package Tour from Mumbai at our fullest satisfaction. Kudos Team - NatureWings.
