DAY 1: ARRIVE KATHMANDU FROM INDIA

This is the first day of your Nepal Package Tour with Muktinath Darshan. With an warm traditional welcome you will be greeted at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu [KTM]. Pashupatinath Temple - For Hindus, the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu is one of the most important places to visit during Kathmandu Tour. Located on the bank of Bagmati River in the eastern part of Kathmandu Valley, this ancient Shiva shrine is the largest temple complex in Nepal, and one of the four main temples across Asia for Shiva devotees. Only Hindus are allowed within the main temple complex. The main idol of Pashupatinath is stone Mukhalinga, which has four faces in four directions. The temple has two courtyards, inner and outer. The inner courtyard is generally open from 5 am to 7 pm, and the innermost part of Pashupatinath temple, where Lord Pashupatinath placed, open from 5 am to 12 noon for ritual and viewing. In the evening, it is open from 4 pm to 7 pm for the ritual part.

Pashupatinath is a highly revered site, and its Ghat is sacred place for funeral ceremonies. The Shivaratri festival brings huge crowds to this temple every year. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the many UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Boudhanath Stupa - Located 11 km from the city center of Kathmandu it is one of the largest Stupa and major tourist attractions of Nepal. Boudhnath Stupa is a prominent center to practice Tibetan Buddhism. In 1979, this Boudha Stupa was declared as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The symbolic architecture of Boudhnath represents the Buddha's path towards enlightenment. The Stupa was built to house the holy relics. Locals believe that the Stupa contains a piece of bone of Lord Buddha - Siddhartha Gautama.

Visitors circumambulate the white dome with positive energy, light butter lamp and look around for souvenirs for memories. It is a common belief that the people who circumambulate the Stupa with positive thoughts receive good karma. Swayambhunath Temple - Located just 3 km west of Kathmandu, Swayambhunath Temple is one of the holiest Buddhist Stupas in Nepal. This Stupa is the oldest of its kind and has numerous small shrines and monasteries of Hindu Gods and Goddesses on its premises. The name of the place "Swayambhu" means 'Self-Created or Self-Existent One'. It is believed that that the shrine was build date back to 460 A.D. by King Manadeva. But the legend says something else. According to legend, Swayambhu was born out of a lotus flower that bloomed in the middle of a lake. Once 2000 years ago Bodhisattva Manjusri came across this beautiful lake during his travel. He saw a lotus that was emitting brilliant light at the lake's center. He got impressed and cut a gorge in a southern hill and placed the lotus to worship. Later the lotus transformed into a hill and the light became the Swayabhunath Stupa. From then on, the Self-existent Lord on hilltop became a holy place for peoples and devotees. The temple premises are surrounded by countless prayer wheels and deities. Devotee’s circumambulat the stupa for blessings of Swayambhunath. Bhaktapur Ancient City - Bhaktapur ancient City is located around 30 Kms from the Kathmandu city. Once you get into it, you will experience the old touch and tradition of Newar Kingdom of Kathmandu valley. This city has a large central courtyard and masks dance performed here often. It is the home to art, craft, and architecture of ancient Nepal. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After spending some time and exploring this master piece of ancient Nepal, known as Khwopa Lyaku - the royal palace of the old Bhaktapur Kingdom, proceed for Nagarkot Tour. Located in Bhaktapur district of Nepal, this place is a calm, quiet and serene destination on a hilltop. DAY 4: FLY POKHARA TO JOMSOM FOR MUKTINATH TOUR

This is the most important day of your Nepal Tour as today we will visit Muktinath Temple and offer puja to God Muktinath. After a relaxing night, wake up with hot bed tea. Have a wonderful Sun rise view from the snow capped mountain peaks. It's amazing that fill your heart with peace. Have some fresh breath and get ready for your next travel. Today is the 4th day of your Nepal Trip from India and it is the most exciting day also. Today we will proceed for Muktinath Tour - one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus.

After having a sumptuous breakfast at your Pokhara Hotel, head to Pokhara Airport [PKR] for your flight to Jomsom. Jomsom is a small hamlet encircled by all snow clad mountains located at 2700 m altitude. Pokhara to Jomsom is about 67km distance by flight which takes merely 25 mints to cover. Upon arrival, meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Check into hotel, get fresh, post lunch proceeds for holy Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour. Here is some important info about Muktinath and why it is a sacred place for Hindu devotees.

Muktinath - Situated at an altitude of 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) at the base of the Thorong La Mountain Pass in the Mustang district, Muktinath is one of the most highly revered and sacred places of worship of Lord Vishnu for both Hindus and Buddhists. Hindus call the site Mukti Kshetra, which literally means the "place of salvation". The shrine is considered to be one of the eight sacred places known as Svayam Vyakta Ksetras which means self-manifested or "swayambu". The Ashta Svayam Vyakta Kshetras have great significance to Vaisnavas. Out of these 8 Kshetras, 7 are located in different places of India and one is this Muktinath of Nepal. This is also one of the 51 Shakti Pitha goddess sites.

DAY 5: JOMSOM FULL DAY TOUR

This is fifth day of your Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour. Today we will cover some of the astonishing places in and around Jomsom. In the morning post breakfast visit to Kali Gandaki River, Jomsom Bazar, Dhumba Lake (optional with extra cost) etc. After lunch you can also visit marpha village, apple orchards, monasteries, local handicraft shop etc. Return back to hotel after full day exhaustion, have your dinner and overnight stay at Jomsom.

DAY 6: FLY BACK JOMSOM TO POKHARA

Wake up early morning, breakfast & transfer to airport for flight to Pokhara. Arrive Pokhara and transfer to hotel. After get refreshed proceed to city sightseeing covering :

Fewa Lake - Phewa Lake or Fewa Lake is the major attraction of Pokhara Valley, located in the south of Pokhara city. It is a freshwater lake of area size of area 4.43 sq km. The Annapurna mountain range is only 28 km from the lake, and it's an unforgettable experience to witness the shadow of Mount Annapurna snow peak in the lake water. You can expect a mesmerizing view of mountain Annapurna from the lake during the wintertime when the sky is generally clear. Boating in the Fewa Lake with your family and near & dear ones is an everlasting memory in your life. You can also do a Puja (Worship) of Hindu god Vishnu at the Tal Barahi Temple located at the center of the lake. You can also get the thrilling experience when you put yourself in a big ball and the balls rolling into the water.



Tal Barahi Temple - Tal Barahi Temple is located in the middle of Phewa Lake, in a small island within the lake. The devotees usually visit the temple on Saturday. The temple is for Hindu Goddess Devi Durga. You may request your boatman in Phewa Lake to take you to Tal Barahi Temple, and they will be happy to do that.

Devis Fall - The Devis waterfall starts from Pardi Khola Stream, which eventually vanishes in the underground. After the rainy season, the sound of water plunging over the falls is deafening. According to locals, one Swedish visitor along with his girlfriend named as Devis, who jumped into the sinkhole and drowned away and since then it is called as Devis Waterfall.

Gupteswar Mahadev Cave - Gupteswar Mahadev cave is at the downstream of Devi's waterfall, and the cave is gigantic, you can discover Gupteswar or Shiva Lingam at the end of the cave. You need to go downstairs through several staircases, and you need to climb up while completing the Darshan of Shiva Lingam. Though in this cave, enough lighting is provided, but still better to carry your torchlight.

Peace Pagoda - Pokhara Shanti Stupa or Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda-style monument located in the Anadu Hills of Pokhra valley and situated around 3600 ft above the sea level. It offers a mesmerizing view of Fewa Lake, Pokhra Valley, and Mount Annapurna Fish Tail peaks. From the car parking place, you need to climb around 250 staircases to reach the stupa level, and once you reach the top, the view from the top will give you an unforgettable experience in your life. From this hilltop, you will get a splendid view of Mt. Annapurna and Phewa Lake during Sunrise and Sunset.



Mountaineering Museum - The Pokhra Mountaineering Museum is must visit place for the tourists who visit Pokhra. It is a unique museum, which tells you all the rich history of Mountaineering activities and climbing in Nepal. DAY 7: DRIVE FROM POKHARA TO LUMBINI [170 km]

Pokhara to Lumbini is almost 170km distance and it takes almost 6 to 7 hrs long drive depending upon traffic and weather condition. If you start early in the morning from pkhara, you can reach here before noon. Check in hotel, get fresh and complete your lunch. Rest of the day is fre for leisure. DAY 8: FULL DAY LUMBINI SIGHTSEEING

Welcome to 8th day of your Nepal Package Tour from India. After having sumptuous breakfast set out for Lumbini Tour. Lumbini is one of the great historical places on Earth in respect of religious and cultural aspect. Yes - It is all about Buddhism.

Lumbini has great importance as to historical fact and religious belief. It is the birth place of to Siddhartha Gautama - the founder of Buddhism. It is the epitome of Buddhism and that's why throughout the year it attracts millions of tourists, pilgrimage and devotees from different corners of the world. In 2019 around 1.5 million travelers and pilgrims arrived Lumbini.

There are lots of places to see around Lumbini like:
Maya Devi Temple, Many monuments, Lots of monasteries, Museum, Puskarini or Holy Pond, Pillar of Ashoka, Kapilvastu Kingdom Complex, Kundan, Niglihawa, Sagarhawa etc.

After exploring rich history that exclusively associated with Nepal, return back to hotel, complete your dinner and have a tight sleep after day long trip.

DAY 9: DRIVE LUMBINI TO CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK [165km 7 hrs]

Wake up early in the morning and stroll around Lumbini. Enjoy hot tea and interact with locals. You can visit local village also and experience village life. Come back to hotel, get fresh and complete your breakfast. Today we will proceed for Chitwan National Park Tour. Chitwan is almost 170km from Lumbini and it can take up to 5 to 6 hrs to travel. Enjoy the scenic journey leaving behind innumerable village hamlets, small cities. In the afternoon reach Chitwan.

Chitwan National Park is the first National Park in Nepal established in the year 1973. This park gained the World Heritage Site status in 1984. Chitwan is home to more than 68 mammal's species. Among big mammals visitors can see Bengal Tigers, Indian Leopards, Clouded Leopards, Indian Rhinoceros, Elephants, Crocodiles and many species during their safaris. As you will be travelling from Lumbini covering a long distance, you can relax rest of the day after having your lunch.

Evening you can enjoy with a camp fire, BBQ and local folk songs. You can either engage with antaxari songs or shake your legs with beats of DJ sounds. Complete dinner and take rest. Next day we will explore Chitwan National Park and some jungle activities.

DAY 10: CHITWAN SAFARI ACTIVITIES

Wake up early morning with hot tea / coffee followed by Nature Walk and Bird Watching Tour. Explore the vicinity of Chitwan and the nature ambience. Try to locate local birds and go for interaction with village people. You can also try tea made up with buffalo milk from local tea shop while roaming in the morning. Return back to hotel, get fresh and complete your breakfast. Proceed for Jungle safari on Elephant back and try to find out different wild animals that are inhabitant in this elephant safari. Proceed for Dugout Canoe Ride along with Dungre / Rapti River to see 2 types of rare species of crocodile - the marsh mugger and the fish eating Gharial. Spotting the wild animals in their natural habitat is exciting. Then visit Elephant Breeding Farm & drive back to the lodge.

Late afternoon visit Tharu Village. Explore the village riding bullock cart. See their huts made of clay and cow dung, their life style, food habits, traditions etc. Basically the Tharu's are from ancient India (Thar area of Rajasthan). They settled in Chitwan, Nepal to save their life from external invaders during mediaval India. Tharu's are basically Hindus and follow Hindu culture and rituals like Diwali, Holi, Dussara, Bhaiduz etc. Their primary occupation is agriculture and recently many young Tharus are working as labour.

Come back to hotel, get fresh. Enjoy your evening tea and snacks with "Tharu Tribal Dance" presented by the local Tharu Villagers. Overnight stay at the jungle resort/lodge in Chitwan.

DAY 11: DRIVE CHITWAN TO KATHMANDU

After breakfast drive for Kathmandu Tour. It is roughly 120 km distance with covers in 4 hrs (approx). On arrival, check-in into the hotel. Rest of the day is free for personal activities as shopping. In the evening visit around the tourist hub of Kathmandu - Thamel, Royal casino etc. Overnight in Kathmandu.

It was my first trip to Nepal and my first experience with NatureWings as well. I have to say it was a great Nepal Package Tour organized by NatureWings. Every aspect of the Nepal Trip was very much well organized by NatureWings. I visited Monkey temple (Swayambhunath Stupa) of Kathmandu, Pasupatinath, three Darbar squares, which were prime historical places of Nepal. I loved the peach of Pokhara city, Fewa Lake was breathtaking. The mountains, sunrise, waterfalls, people, and their smiley faces I never forget. The hotel selection by the agency was very much choice able. We liked the hotel in Pokhra, Fishtail lodge was stunning property, overlooking the Mount Annapurna snow peak from their courtyard. Every day a person from the travel agency was in touch with me for any travel-related issues. The guide was a knowledgeable and friendly person. He is ready to carry my bags every time. We have traveled to Nepal last November. We took the direct flight to Kathmandu from Mumbai by Royal Nepal Airlines for our Nepal Package Tour. On our arrival day, we just went to Casino in Yak and Yeti Hotel for an experience, and it was an exciting experience. Luckily, we won Nepali Rupees of 2500 on that day. The next day, our day started with Pashupatinath Temple Darshan and Puja, and then we proceed to see the Darbar Square and Bhaktapur Ancient City. On the second day of our Nepal Tour, our night stay was in Nagarkot, a small hilltop destination. We stayed in the Club Himalaya, which was simply superb, and offers breathtaking views of Himalayas. The next day we moved to Pokhra, the journey was quite tiring and took around 8 hours. We reached in the afternoon around 4 pm, and on the way, we had lunch in the Mungli Bazar. In Pokhra, we visited Phewa Lake and Peace Pagoda. These two places are the prime attraction of Pokhra, and no tourists should miss it. We then traveled back to Kathmandu by a small flight, and then we took the direct return flight to Mumbai. Everything was arranged perfectly by NatureWings, and I must thank Mr. Sandip Raha for arranging such a nice Nepal Trip.

We did a Nepal Tour Plan from Bengaluru last year in December, and it went perfectly fine. The hotels, sightseeing, car, and the driver were perfect as per the commitment by our agent, NatureWings. We took a 4 Star package with Kathmandu, Nagarkot and Pokhra. We were six family members who went together for this Nepal Tour, and we liked the way NatureWings handled this trip in a professional and friendly way. Our best resort was in Pokhra, Fishtail Lodge, which is located just in front of Phewa Lake, and from the resort, we can see the Mount Annapurna snow peaks. In Pokhra, we have also visited less known Bengas Lake, and we took the boat ride in the said lake. Overall, our experience in this Nepal Tour Package was a memorable one, and we’ll recommend NatureWings to our friends and families.
